About Charles Fellows Supplies Ltd.

Established in 1980 and based in the West Midlands, the company employs 30 people supplying Clothing, Footwear, Textiles and associated products to Public Authority customers.

Formed originally as the wholesale arm of a large Clothing Manufacturing company started in the 1920’s, CFS uses its 30+ years of experience in dealing with the Prison and Police Services in the UK to develop a range of clothing and footwear that is suitable for both use in a normal detention environment and in situations where there is a perceived risk of self-harm or suicide. Working closely with our Contract Partners we have developed a range of High Risk Products, that have been specifically designed and manufactured to combine wear ability with security. This has been achieved by using a combination of fabrics that when combined create garments that are very durable and tear resistant.

Initially we used our own manufacturing base and other UK manufacturers to provide our products, but in an ever more competitive market place we have developed a global network of factories to give us the necessary breadth and scope to our range. Our distribution centre in the West Midlands carries huge volumes of stock in readiness to be distributed to Central Stores, Regional Stores or individual sites across the UK over-night if required.

The Company has been awarded ISO Accreditation since 2003 and operates a Quality Management System that documents and monitors all aspects of our operations and ensures Customer Satisfaction is maintained at all times. We also operate an Environmental Management System that monitors our performance and also encourages good ethical and environmental credentials in our supply chain. Our ISO Accreditations are: - ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015.

We have successfully fulfilled many contracts for Public Authorities over the past 30+ years and fully understand both the operational requirements and the security implications of working on contracts that supply goods to secure environments.

Our policy is to continually improve existing products and introduce new innovations whenever the need arises and we are always interested in working with customers to develop new solutions to problems.
